Last updated: August 12, 2026
By creating an account, booking a service, or otherwise using Heyji, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
1. About Heyji
Heyji is a technology platform that helps independent consultants and mental health professionals manage public profiles, bookings, communications, clients, payments, waitlists, and related practice operations. Professionals offering services through Heyji are referred to as “Consultants”; people who view, book, or purchase those services are “Clients.”
Heyji provides technology and marketplace infrastructure. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, Heyji is not a healthcare provider, clinic, emergency service, employer, agent, or professional adviser and does not itself provide therapy, diagnosis, treatment, or medical advice.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement.
- You must provide accurate, current information and keep it updated.
- You are responsible for your login credentials and all activity under your account.
- You must promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.
- Consultants must hold all qualifications, registrations, licences, and insurance required for the services they offer.
We may request identity, professional, tax, or bank verification. We may reject, restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts where verification fails or these Terms are breached.
3. Consultant responsibilities
Consultants independently determine the services they offer, their availability, pricing, suitability criteria, cancellation rules, and professional relationship with Clients. Consultants are solely responsible for the quality, legality, safety, and accuracy of their services and profile information.
- Do not claim qualifications, outcomes, or affiliations that you do not hold.
- Obtain appropriate informed consent and maintain professional boundaries.
- Keep any required client records in accordance with applicable professional and privacy laws.
- Do not use Heyji for emergency or crisis care unless a dedicated, legally compliant feature expressly supports it.
4. Client responsibilities and emergencies
Clients are responsible for selecting a Consultant and deciding whether that Consultant’s services are appropriate. Profile verification, reviews, or platform availability do not constitute an endorsement or guarantee by Heyji.
Heyji is not an emergency service. If you or another person may be in immediate danger, is considering self-harm, or requires urgent medical attention, contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis helpline immediately.
5. Bookings, communications, and cancellations
Heyji may facilitate scheduled sessions, pay-per-minute audio or video calls, chat, priority messages, reminders, and follow-up communications. Technical availability is not guaranteed and may depend on third-party networks and services.
Displayed prices, cancellation terms, credits, and refund conditions form part of the booking information. A Consultant may establish additional terms, provided they do not conflict with these Terms or applicable law.
6. Payments, wallet, payouts, and taxes
Payments and payouts may be processed by third-party payment providers. By using payment features, you also agree to the provider’s applicable terms. Heyji may deduct disclosed platform charges, taxes, refunds, chargebacks, or other authorized amounts before making funds available.
- Clients authorize charges shown before a booking or session begins, including usage-based charges.
- Consultant payouts are subject to identity verification, settlement periods, reserves, chargebacks, and payment-provider rules.
- Each user is responsible for taxes, filings, invoices, and records applicable to their activity.
- Refund eligibility depends on applicable law, the displayed cancellation policy, and whether the service was delivered.
7. Acceptable use
You must not use Heyji to:
- Break any law, professional rule, sanctions requirement, or another person’s rights.
- Harass, threaten, exploit, discriminate against, impersonate, or defraud anyone.
- Upload unlawful, harmful, misleading, infringing, or malicious content.
- Scrape data, probe security, bypass access controls, reverse engineer the platform, or disrupt its operation.
- Send spam or use Client information outside the legitimate professional relationship.
- Record a private session without all legally required notices and consents.
8. Content and intellectual property
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Heyji a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, process, reproduce, format, and display that content solely to operate, secure, promote, and improve the platform. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions required to submit it.
Heyji’s software, design, branding, documentation, and platform content are owned by or licensed to Heyji. Except for the limited right to use the service under these Terms, no intellectual-property rights are transferred to you.
9. Privacy and confidentiality
Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal information. Consultants may separately act as data controllers or fiduciaries for Client information they receive and must comply with applicable confidentiality, health-data, and data-protection requirements.
While we use safeguards designed to protect communications and data, users should avoid sharing information that is unnecessary for the requested service.
10. Third-party services
Heyji may depend on services such as authentication, hosting, cloud storage, video infrastructure, analytics, calendars, email delivery, and payment processing. Those services may have separate terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Heyji at any time and may request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access to protect users or the platform, comply with law, manage risk, investigate suspected misconduct, or enforce these Terms. Provisions concerning payments, ownership, liability, disputes, and records survive termination where appropriate.
12. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, Heyji is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, particular professional outcomes, Client demand, earnings, appointment attendance, or the accuracy of user-provided content. Consultants, not Heyji, are responsible for professional services delivered through the platform.
13. Limitation of liability and indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Heyji and its personnel will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or opportunities arising from use of the platform. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You agree to indemnify Heyji against third-party claims and reasonable costs arising from your content, services, unlawful conduct, professional negligence, infringement, or breach of these Terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory consumer rights, courts with jurisdiction in India will have authority over disputes. Before filing a formal claim, please contact us so the parties can attempt to resolve the matter in good faith.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect legal, security, operational, or product changes. We will publish the revised version on heyji.io and update the date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.
